TYPE OF CONTEST: Art contest.
THEME OF CONTEST: Twinkle's Story quote depiction contest.
DATE CONTEST ENTRIES ARE DUE BY: May 17, 2015.
DESCRIPTION: This contest is a Twinkle's Story themed art contest. Your goal is to create a piece of artwork that depicts your depiction of the most well-known quote from the story ("There's a part in all of us that wants to be free."). In other words, you goal is to create artwork about what you think of that quote. Like what you think of it; what you think it means.
REQUIREMENTS: Your artwork must be related to Twinkle's Story (duh), and Twinkle AND/OR Duke must be present somewhere in the artwork. Put the written quote somewhere on your artwork.
TIPS
1. Make sure your artwork makes sense with the quote. Like they both relate and MAKE SENSE.
2. I'm giving you guys a pretty long time on this contest. Please guys, try your best. I'd like to see drawings that I will KNOW you worked hard on. (No sketches, no background/very plain, etc.)
3. You can draw your entry (digitally or traditionally) with any tools you have (pencil, charcoal, paint, pen, marker, pastel, crayon... I don't suggest using highlighters though).
4. You can draw the characters (Twinkle, Duke, and/or any others you add) in their fox (or any other animal) original form OR human form. (I have a few drawings of them in human-form, but I never showed any of you guys yet lol)
5. Violence/blood is ALLOWED in your entry, but only limited to how much it is described in chapters SO FAR (Chapter 36 and older).
6. I think it's best if your drawing is based on actual story events that actually happened. But it DOES NOT MEAN you can't have details in your drawing that have what you think will happen in the future.
7. In story-form (NOT AJ-form or human-form) they stand upright (like humans). (They're basically like humans but look like foxes lol)
8. YOU MUST USE ONLY YOUR WORK. NOBODY ELSE'S- JUST YOUR OWN. THIS ALSO MEANS NOT USING ANY EDITING PROGRAMS TO EDIT YOUR ARTWORK (PicMonkey, Pixlr, etc.).
9. ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED PER PERSON FOR THIS CONTEST.
10. MUST BE APPROPRIATE!!!
11. Know any other Twinkle's Story fans? Then tell them about this contest! MAKE THIS BE KNOWN AND ALL THAT COOL STUFF :U

Is it ok if i use pizap (www,pizap.com) To add shading and such?
ReplyDeleteI'd like entries to be made by yourself without using any special effects to make it better. However, you're allowed to use editing programs such as Pixap, PicMonkey, etc. to type the text ("There's a part in all of us that wants to be free.") onto your artwork entry. That's all the online editing tools allowed to use.
DeleteYou can add shading as long as you do it yourself and not any editing programs. Shading is good and recommended- yes, yes. :3

DeleteWell, if it comes with the drawing program you are drawing with, then that's acceptable. But if you are using another program (like PicMonkey idk) to edit your drawing you drew on another program then that's not okay. Well, except to type the quote (you can use any program to type the quite and paste onto your entry).

But like, can I use special brushes? Like, lace brushes (it's kinda like a "sticker", but in a brush way) or do i have to do all the details?
DeleteIf special brushes and other effects come with the program you're using, then it's fine to use that. Basically, you can't have your finished drawing and add many effects using sonething like PicMonkey (like what I do with some screenshots- haha). Other than that, it's fine. ^-^
DeleteOh and it's not really required or anything that you actually read every/any chapter. It's only required to draw the main characters that I basically blabber about in every post I type. c:

Explanation of your artwork. (In at least 3 sentences please!):
well, for starters, that's Fierdan. But it's also Duke. Well it's both of them but not half and half, it's both of them at the same time. But mostly Fierdan because I like him more. (XD just don't even read this) so Anyways, you know how Fierdan is all white? Well that's symbolizing like a facade, um.. fakeness, pureness, goodness, but at the same time, it's what we want to see, it's the stuff we see on the outside but isn't really there. It's not what we're feeling. (make sense. no? okay.) And the black stuff is like symbolizing his insides, and anger, and hatred. It's symbolizing both Fierdan and Duke because,
1) symbolizing the part where the 'Fierdan spirit' is breaking out of Duke's body. (weird, I know)
2) It's also symbolizing Duke's/Fierdan's horrible past/hatred that they just want to destroy and kill the world and let out, but they can't, they can't!
And, it's also symbolizing how like we all have these sides we never show, can never show, and we just want to be ourselves and let out our hatred and darkness and how we all have dark inside us.. how we're never really smiling. (Hopefully that was a good explanation)?
