Well...

Um.. Is anyone there? Hello?

Eh whatever.

Anyway, this blog is basically dead now. (Which is pretty obvious, isn't it?). So, my point is, I'm so sorry for being so irresponsible with this blog and contests and all that. I figured out that hosting blog contests isn't my kind of thing. 

Okay so the point is I'm basically quitting this blog. I bet you all knew I wouldn't host another contest after all what happened with the first one, but I'm just clarifying it. Creating contests on here just stress me and out, and let's be real here, I just suck. I quit playing AJ as a game entirely a long time ago (if you see me on, I'm only on for a minute or so unless you want to talk to me on there), so AJ prizes are just a big no. And on top of that the fact I never gave all of you your AJ prizes from the last contest.

So yeah. I'm basically just killing this blog. So now you know not to expect any more contests or events or anything to appear on this blog. Heck if I'm gonna be involved in the creation of new contests, it will likely be on DeviantArt (to those who know mine) now instead.

Again, I am so, so, so sorry for bringing you all down. Doing this was a huge mistake on my part. I hope you can forgive me.

Maybe we'll meet again some day on here. Goodbye, friends.

Infinite Apologies + Rankings!

Well, hey there. Even I forgot about this blog at times. Heh, so awkward.... ^-^'

So... Erm... Look, I'm so, so, so sorry for all this contest mayhem. I know I've already said this on my main blog, but the guilt of all this has been tearing me up inside.

So enough of this apologetic crud. The contest winning rankings I've came up with are.......:

As you can probably tell obviously as a non-brainer know, it's been pretty difficult to choose the winning order. All your contest entries are different compared to everyone else's. (Don't take that the wrong way, I love the diverse interpretations.) 

For one, we have Rainbow's entry with such an accurate art style to the art style of Jamaasian foxes (foxes on AJ) with the features I say are how they look in the story (like how they stand upright due to reasons). To the point of the story when this contest was open, the only way you guys knew how Twinkle and Duke could release their Elemental Powers (ice and fire) externally was through their claw-tips. (Now since their EPs have been growing and adapting and just being in them longer in general, they now can release their EPs in bigger ways than just through their claws.). I just adore the accuracy and just how great it looks. It looks like she took some time in her entry, which makes me just so.. so happy. 

For two, we have Reachie's (aka Gamer/Queen's) entry with such a deep symbolism. I just find how she found and used all these symbols to represent the drawing very clever. I really like the symbolism of Fierdan being the light surrounded by the darkness of his self due to his wrongdoings. (Wow, it's deep, haha.). Gah, this picture describes Duke's relationship with Fierdan when they meet and Fierdan's relationship with Soulless so well with the background darkness being the more evil character and the white character being the vulnerable victim. Haha, yeah.. Even though I like the explanation in this entry better than Rainbow's, I like the actual artwork of Rainbow's better and understand her's more clearly. To be honest, I'm not that sure if Fierdan (the white character) is a fox or a human. So that's a bit confusing.

For three, we have arcticpenguinii's entry with all the different symbols which make it so unique. I like how he used the characters' representations (like fire for Duke, ice for Twinkle, green for Dawn, and heart for the love). I just adore how he took the contest prompt and answered it by creating an artwork completely different than anything I or anyone else would immediately expect. At first, I didn't like how he didn't draw any of the characters, but now I really like the uniqueness of his piece where he used their symbols instead. I can also imagine and "hear in my mind" all the different characters yelling out the quote like a battle cry. I also really like how the words of the quote all have different fonts indicating different characters having emphasis on a specific part of the quote. I ranked it third place because the drawing does look kinda intense to look at (like, too intense) and it looks kinda messy and cluttered (not sure if that was intended or not). I like how Reachie used the symbols in her drawing to an elaborating level whereas Arctic only used the symbols already clearly revealed in the story chapters. 

I ranked Empurr's (aka Mutant's) entry fourth place just to be fair for the most part. I really do like how you drew Duke and Twinkle in human form, but your drawing isn't why I'm ranking it 4th. Unlike the other entries, she didn't include an explanation paragraph explaining why she drew it the way she did. She also used a picture/photo editing program that I didn't really want people to use in the contest. I do like how she drew the picture compared to some of the other entries, but I didn't rank and judge the entries based on the drawing itself. I also put following the contest rules and entry explanations into affecting my ranking decision as well.

Hope I wasn't too hurtful in my ranking explanations. I tried to not be.

For ranks first through third, please specify on the comment section of this post, on the main blog (The Jamaa Mist) comment sections, and/or on DA if you would still like to have the AJ items as (part of) your prize. 

I also have another prize (drawings, haha) to the winners in ranks first through third. I just need to finish coloring them in fully.

The One, the Only~

Attention!

Hey guys.

I've been holding back on this for quite a while now, but I think it's been long enough now.

Even though the deadline for the contest ended quite a while ago, I still allowed entries to be submitted. I was expecting at least one other person to enter the contest for that time.

No other person entered. There are only 3 entries (as of right now).

*sigh*

Well it's been a while now, and I think I'll fully end the contest now. (Fully as in not allowing any other late entries (after the date I'll say later on in this post) to be allowed as contest entries. But your drawings will still be excepted of course- just not for this particular contest.)

And if only 3 entries are actually submitted, then each one of the contenders will receive the prizes that correspond their ranking. If they'll still like to have their prizes of AJ items...

I just want to get this over with. I honestly don't care anymore. I just want to post my cruddy Twinkle's Story artwork on the blog already. (One of the points of the contest was for you to draw what YOU think they look like (visualizations- even though I'm pretty awful at them in this particular story XD), so I can post the artwork once the contest is over so it's fair for everybody. Once I give the final due date on this post and post my artwork, I WILL NOT allow any other entries.)

It's been far, far too long.

However since I have a pretty tight schedule for the month of June, it might take an additional amount of time for me to decide the winner and post that and all the entries. (Sorry about that! D:)

So yeah. Onto the date...

Little Something About The Contest

Psst hey guys. I really shouldn't be posting this now, but I really feel like I need to address some things about the current contest going on (read the post prior to this one to understand).

Okay so....:

1. When it's due (May 17th). There's a reason why I decided to host this contest and end this contest at the specific times. If you're newish/never knew me THAT long, here's a tad bit of info about me. My birthday is May 22nd (hence the numbers 522 in my AJ username), and May 17th is a date that is fairly close to the 22nd. So what I'm trying to say is that your art entries for the contest can serve as your birthday gifts to me. (You can give me more/other gifts though, haha.) So that's another lame suggestion from me on why you should enter the contest.   Like yeah, I know not everyone will receive 1st place in the contest, but I believe all your entries will end up beautiful and can be confidently said that your entries to be my birthday gifts. ♡

2. I've been thinking about it, and I think that I will give out 2nd and 3rd prizes still. I didn't say what I said last time to be selfish or anything. It's just that I honestly don't like the idea that EVERY contestant receives a prize (there's got to be winners and losers- right?). But now I'm thinking of giving out 2nd and 3rd prizes even if less than 6 people officially enter the contest. (Like 4 or 5 or something.)

3. It is NOT required that you read all the story chapters or anything like that. (Yes it's recommended of course, but it's not required.) Just create artwork revolving around the 2 foxes you see on the main blog's header. And besides, based on how much I type about them on my main blog posts, you should know at least a little about them. XD

4. I know I've brought so much confusion about what I meant. Okay so. I am allowing you to be able to use effects to create your drawing. Like if whatever program you're using to create your entry has some specific effects built into your program/bought extra with the program, than you CAN use those. For example, if you're drawing program has different featured paintbrushes built in the program, then you can use those.) The only reason I brought this up in the first place is I think it's a bit unfair that digital drawing entries can get so many effects for their art, meanwhile traditional artwork can't. You can also switch from different painting programs you have to make your entry the best it can possibly be. For example, if you use Paint Tool Sai to draw your entry and not too many fancy effects and stuff PhotoShop to color in your entry, that's also allowed. As long as it's done on a drawing program, it is allowed. Just don't have your finished drawing and then cover it up with many effects that you didn't make yourself/don't come with you drawing programs (example is PicMonkey and similar sites).

Well, I hope this cleared up any confusion about the contest. But if you still are unsure about anything relating to the contest, then please comment any further questions in the comments below. ^-^

TYPE OF CONTEST: Art contest.

THEME OF CONTEST: Twinkle's Story quote depiction contest.

DATE CONTEST ENTRIES ARE DUE BY: May 17, 2015.

DESCRIPTION: This contest is a Twinkle's Story themed art contest. Your goal is to create a piece of artwork that depicts your depiction of the most well-known quote from the story ("There's a part in all of us that wants to be free."). In other words, you goal is to create artwork about what you think of that quote. Like what you think of it; what you think it means.

REQUIREMENTS: Your artwork must be related to Twinkle's Story (duh), and Twinkle AND/OR Duke must be present somewhere in the artwork. Put the written quote somewhere on your artwork.

TIPS
1. Make sure your artwork makes sense with the quote. Like they both relate and MAKE SENSE.
2. I'm giving you guys a pretty long time on this contest. Please guys, try your best. I'd like to see drawings that I will KNOW you worked hard on. (No sketches, no background/very plain, etc.)
3. You can draw your entry (digitally or traditionally) with any tools you have (pencil, charcoal, paint, pen, marker, pastel, crayon... I don't suggest using highlighters though).
4. You can draw the characters (Twinkle, Duke, and/or any others you add) in their fox (or any other animal) original form OR human form. (I have a few drawings of them in human-form, but I never showed any of you guys yet lol)
5. Violence/blood is ALLOWED in your entry, but only limited to how much it is described in chapters SO FAR (Chapter 36 and older).
6. I think it's best if your drawing is based on actual story events that actually happened. But it DOES NOT MEAN you can't have details in your drawing that have what you think will happen in the future.
7. In story-form (NOT AJ-form or human-form) they stand upright (like humans). (They're basically like humans but look like foxes lol)
8. YOU MUST USE ONLY YOUR WORK. NOBODY ELSE'S- JUST YOUR OWN. THIS ALSO MEANS NOT USING ANY EDITING PROGRAMS TO EDIT YOUR ARTWORK (PicMonkey, Pixlr, etc.).
9. ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED PER PERSON FOR THIS CONTEST.
10. MUST BE APPROPRIATE!!!
11. Know any other Twinkle's Story fans? Then tell them about this contest! MAKE THIS BE KNOWN AND ALL THAT COOL STUFF :U

So.... Right to the point. This is my contest blog (the name gives it away...) for my main blog, The Jamaa Mist.

Contests will be posted up soon. I have ideas to perhaps start art contests, short story contests, guessing contests..... Stuff that I think you guys will enjoy participating in.

However.......

I don't really feel comfortable sharing my email to everyone (I don't really have a "blog email", it has some personal stuff in it). So that'll probably make it difficulty to do some things.

I'm also not sure how I'll distribute prizes for the AJ-related contests. I'm a nonmember, so I can't just simply send prizes to whoever won. I also don't have the time to wait on AJ for hours waiting for whoever won to receive their prize. (Sorry! D:)
